Thank you for stopping by my homepage. My name is Dean West and I am a keen Artist, Photographer, Web and Graphic Designer.

With nearly 18 months web building experience, I am now very close to submitting my website towards gaining the Level 3 Certificate in Web Design, awarded by the Association of Certified IT Professionals.

Having a good grasp of the Adobe Creative Suite CS4 software, which includes Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and Fireworks. I am working with the Lynda.Com website and textbooks, to build my skills in the advanced aspects of web design and development.

I have recently completed work on my first two commercial projects. As a result, I can demonstrate the ability to produce web or graphic based designs which are consistent with company ideals, and create according to exact remits and specifications.

You will see examples of my work throughout this website. Whether it is designing Flash or GIF animations, producing Boat Party/Nightclub Promo Flyers using Illustrator, or re-designing a medical practice website, and producing composite examples with Photoshop. Because I am skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Software, I can incorporate many technical skills into my designs. I am also a very keen digital photographer. Having studied at the Reading School of Photography, I am able to produce visually interesting and captivating pieces. Please view my gallery to see examples of my work.

I am currently working on building my knowledge in a number of key web areas, such as SEO, PHP and mySQL.

Because I can draw upon so many design skills and technical abilities, I am sure I would become a valuable asset to any prospective employer who is looking to employ a Junior Web / Graphic Designer.
